Ministry Groups
EMMAS
The EMMAS of White Stone Baptist Church is a mission group that ministers in the name of Jesus Christ. EMMAS is an acronym for the "Evelyn Murray Mission Action Sisterhood". Evelyn Murray was the Director of the WMU at White Stone Baptist for many years. In her memory, the EMMAS continue the mission work she loved so much.
This year the EMMAS have reached out to the community through helping support the Haven, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts, monthly birthday parties for the residents of the Mayfair House, and through meals and food for those in need during sickness, bereavement, etc. Gabriela Esther Acosta Araujo of Columbia, is the EMMAS adopted child through Compassion International. This fall they worked on the Fall Festival for the benefit of the Boy & Girls Club of the Northern Neck that was co-sponsored by White Stone United Methodist and White Stone Baptist Churches. A Prayer Shawl Ministry is an ongoing project and prayer shawls are available to anyone needing one. Dinners by the EMMAS have been prepared this year for the Free Health Clinic, and a group of young missionaries from Canada working here for Habitat.
There is a large yard sale every year to help support these ministries.
The EMMAS meet monthly on the third Thursday in member's homes.

WMU
The WMU of White Stone Baptist Church meets every first Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. for their meeting and lunch. They support many different missions through offerings and prayers. On second Saturdays they work BINGO for the residents at the Lancashire Convalescent Home. Recently the WMU sponsored a soup and bake sale to buy Bibles for the inmates at the Lancaster County Correctional Center. Every December they pack homemade cookies for shut-ins.

Rappahannock Baptist Association WMU Spring Meeting
April 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
White Stone Baptist Church WMU and EMMAS will be hosting the RBA/WMU Spring Meeting. The program will begin at 10:30 with lunch following the meeting.
